As we continue to expand, we seek a talented and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance department part-time, reporting to the Group Finance Manager/Financial Controller.
Position Overview:As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting the company's overall financial health. Requirements
Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting policies.Month-End and Year-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.Compliance: Stay current with accounting regulations and local and international financial reporting standards.Audit Support: Facilitate external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit inquiries.Financial Analysis: Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes.Process Improvement: Actively participate in continuously improving financial processes and systems.Tax Filing: responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of income tax returns, compliance with tax regulations, and providing tax-related advice and documentation.Accounts Receivables: Oversees cash collection processes, ensuring timely and efficient receipt of payments, monitoring outstanding balances, and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow.Other Ad hoc projects: as required.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is desirable; candidates with equivalent experience and qualifications will also be considered.Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
